Abused & Abandoned Horse Veterinary Assistance Fund

This fund is a voluntary assistance fund offered by the doctors of Reata Equine Veterinary Group to help abandoned or abused horses receive emergency medical care including euthanasia when this is the most humane way to help ease a horse’s suffering.*

*In cases of neglect, abuse, or abandonment, there are often tensions arising between the owners, caregivers, and rescue organizations involved.  Organizations/horse owners requesting treatment MUST SHOW that they are legally responsible for decisions pertaining to the care of the horse(s) in question, and a responsible party MUST SIGN a veterinary waiver releasing the doctor from legal responsibility for any procedure performed.
